UNIQUE TREASURES  6707 Johnny Mercer

Recently, I got an email about an old rocking chair I had in stock. John Davey, of Charleston, S.C. proceded to tell me that his grandmother used to rock him to sleep in such a chair when he was a little boy. He then told me that he thought this chair was in fact his grandmother's old chair. I thought that would be sweet, but had my doubts. Well John and his son, drove to Savannah, and John sat in the chair, and started to rock. He told me how much he loved that old chair. I asked him how would we know if this was THE chair?

He said he was playing under the chair, when he was little, and put a scratch on the bottom, that his grandmother was none too pleased with. we turned over the chair, and there was the scratch, exactly as described. We talked about the history of the chair, and it all made sense. John, I'm happy I could bring back some great childhood memories!!!
